Current Project

Hydrokinetic turbine with sensor

Funding: Internal funding (PUTI UI) & DIKTI (Ministry of Higher Education)

Partner: Dr. Indrat Aria (Cranfield University, UK)


Main objective: to harvest electricity from water current with device that less harm for fish and other animals on the water

Progress: on the fabrication of the 3rd prototype

Output: Q1 scopus-indexed paper & prototype

Current Project

Oyster Facade

Funding:  Eco Campus

Partner: Dr.  Miktha (architecture UI)

Main objective: To analyze the thermal and environmental performance of oyster-shell wall facades used in southern China, with focus on its heat transfer behavior and natural insulation properties to evaluate their potential adaptation in modern sustainable architecture. 

Progress: completing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and designing a prototype

Output: Q1 scopus-indexed paper & facade prototype

Current Project

Rain Water Harvesting in Sukanagara High School

Funding:  Community Service Grant from IPB University

Partner: Dr. Medria Hardhienata (IPB), Pandu (Commcap), Andy (IPB), Sita (NUS)

Main objective:  helping to build rain water harvesting integrated with sensors powered by solar energy

Progress: Installation of the solar-powered IoT

Output: Newspaper articles, real-size working model

Current Project

Lake Toba Sustainable Homestay

Funding:  Internal of UI (PUTI Q1)

Partner: Prof. Antony Sihombing (Urban Planning UI)

Main objective:  To analyze sustainability of  socio-cultural and economic of homestay around Lake Toba Area through interview with related government officials and homestay owners/operators.

Progress: Writing a journal paper 

Output: Q1 scopus-indexed paper

Past Project

Drone powered by solar energy

Funding:  Ministry of Higher Education

Partner: Dr. Medria Hardhienata (IPB University) 

Main objective:  

designing a solar-powered drone with a battery to increase flight hours

Progress: Design completed, applying for another grant to fund the fabrication

Output: Patent
